This book really helped all of my children comprehend what was going on with the youngest, who has leukemia. It’s educational in a way that’s easy to understand for all ages and helps us to talk about whats going on and why. This book was a life raft during a time of extreme upheaval and fear.

I have a first grade student with leukemia and he is going through chemo. When I read it to the class it helped the kids understand what he is going through. It also helped the boy verify what he was going through. The kids had lots of questions for him after I read the story. Just what I was looking for.

My 5-year-old daughter has Leukemia & she LOVES this book!!
I cried the first time I read it because it is so positive & empowering to kids … I just can’t say enough good things about this. In fact, I am purchasing 2 more: one for the Oncology waiting room & one for my daughter’s Kindergarten class.
